Summer: The best season?

Summer in South Carolina is not like summer in New Jersey. In my former state, summer is like a dream of time when everything has opened up to us, like the parks, outdoor dining, and most importantly, the boardwalk. It’s summer afternoons of sand, sun, salt and sea. It’s warm evenings of strolling on the boards with friends and family, relaxing on the porch with some homemade lemonade, or sneaking outside to hang with the lightning bugs.
Trips to the beach require a bucket, umbrella, chair, and usually some summer reading.
